Rachael Jones
Daily classes 10 a.m. 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Rachael Jones began her training under Jennifer Byokawski at the Northeast Atlanta Ballet. While there, she also worked with Shamil Yagudin, former director of the Bolshoi Ballet. Ms. Jones then moved to the Rock School and trained with Bojan and Stephanie Spassoff, Violette Verdy, and Daniel Ulbrect, among others. In 2006, Ms. Jones went to Florida State University where she trained with Suzanne Farrel. This past summer Ms. Jones had the opportunity to go to Shanghai, China where she was able to work with Xin Lili, Artistic Director of Shanghai Ballet, and Min Yue Gao, and Qingsheng Lee, both former principals of Shanghai Ballet. Rachael was a finalist in the Youth American Grand Prix and went on to the finals in New York City. Ms. Jones is in her second year with American Repertory Ballet in New Jersey.
Rachael will give daily instruction in ballet technique and pointe. She will also work with dancers in contemporary movement and choreography classes in the mid afternoon. Don’t miss this opportunity to work with an amazing dancer and instructor.

The Lilburn School of Ballet is pleased to announce our 12th annual summer intensive workshop. These classes are designed for the beg/intermediate through advanced dancers.
The workshop offers daily training in ballet, pointe, partnering, modern, jazz, pilates, African, drama for dancers and more. All classes are taught by a distinguished faculty of dance professionals. Guest instructors include Nicolas Pacana (Festival Ballet), Ralph Jacques (Atlanta Ballet- Partnering), John Streit (University of Arizona), Margot Martin (Carolina Ballet), Theresa Howard (Ballethnic), Amy Morrow (Parkview Drama), and many more still to be announced. Dancers will experience new choreography and dance styles in the late afternoon rehearsals. The program culminates in an exciting on stage performance at the end of the workshop. Our beautiful facility accommodates three different levels to ensure the best possible training. Placement will be made during the first class. New students may feel free to send a video prior to the workshop. The workshop has limited enrollment per level so be sure to reserve your spot early! Dancers always have a lot of fun and what a great way to really concentrate on your technique! |

Just when the summertime blahs hit, ballet saves the day! Don’t let your child miss out on the most comprehensive summer program yet! We will be offering classes in ballet, tap intro, and modern for students ages 3-6. The performance workshop will also offer professional instruction in drama, dress up, stage crafts, and many other fun activities. We will study a famous ballet, and then recreate the story through dance and mime. Students will be taught to express themselves through movement. All dancers will perform for parents at the conclusion of the workshop. Our new expanded facility features state of the art studios for your budding ballerina! This is a great opportunity for your child to really advance in their dance training and to have fun. Students receive over 8 hours of instruction in just two weeks. This is equivalent to two months worth of training for many young dancers. What an exciting, quality activity for your young children. Grayson Location- July 5-16, 2010 M/W/F 4:30-7:30- 7-9 Year Olds Lilburn Location-July 5-16, 2010 M/W/F– 7-9 Year Olds $165 We will be offering classes in ballet, jazz, and modern for students ages 7-9. The performance workshop will also be offering professional instruction in ballet history, nutrition, variations, drama, and stage crafts. We will study the famous ballet Cinderella, and then recreate the story through dance and mime. Children will be taught to express themselves through movement. This is a great opportunity for your child to really advance in her dance training. Students receive up to 35 hours of instruction in just one week, plus the opportunity to perform in a mini-performance onsrage with the company dancers at the conclusion of the workshop. This is equivalent to four months worth of training for many young dancers. Most important, your child will have fun while learning a beautiful art form. Dancers will attend class M/W/F for week one and M/W/TH for week two. The workshop will conclude with an onstage performance on the second Friday evening. ig in the Holidays with the Northeast Atlanta Ballet’s classic rendition of E.T.A Hoffman’s tale, “The Nutcracker”. Join Clara and her Nutcracker prince as they set out on a wonder-filled journey to battle the mouse king and travel through the Land of the Snowflakes and Kingdom of the Sweets to meet the Sugar Plum Fairy. This family friendly production features the familiar classical music of Tchaikovsky. This elaborate production is sure to please audience members of all ages.
